1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("Customer", "you") and Zoom Car Nepal Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", "the Company") whenever you create an account, browse listings, or book a vehicle through zoomcarnepal.com.np ("the Platform"). By using the Platform you accept these Terms in full. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Booking & confirmation
- A booking is confirmed once you receive an email and/or SMS containing a booking reference (e.g.
BN-XXXXXX). - The quoted total includes the daily vehicle rate, applicable VAT, and any add-ons you selected. Fuel, tolls, parking, and inter-city permits are billed separately at actuals.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where identity, license, or age requirements cannot be verified at pickup.
3. Eligibility & documents
- Self-drive renters must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Nepali driving licence or an International Driving Permit accompanied by their home-country licence.
- Original ID (passport, Nagarikta, or driving licence) must be presented at pickup. Photocopies are not accepted.
- Hire-a-driver bookings have no minimum age — only a valid ID.
4. Payment
- You may confirm online without prepayment. The full quoted amount is due at pickup (cash, eSewa, Khalti, bank transfer, or major cards).
- For multi-day bookings exceeding NPR 50,000, we may request a refundable security deposit at pickup.
- All amounts are in Nepali Rupees (NPR) and include 13% VAT where applicable.
5. Cancellation & refunds
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the pickup time.
- Within 24 hours of pickup: a cancellation fee equal to one day's rental applies.
- No-show: full first-day rental billed.
- If we cancel due to a vehicle issue, you're entitled to a comparable replacement or a full refund — your choice.
6. Vehicle use
- Vehicles must be used only by the named renter (and any registered additional drivers).
- No off-road use, racing, or sub-renting. No transport of contraband.
- Smoking and pets are not permitted inside the vehicle. A NPR 5,000 cleaning fee applies if these rules are broken.
- The renter is responsible for traffic fines, towing, and parking violations incurred during the rental period.
7. Fuel policy
Vehicles are delivered with a documented fuel level and must be returned at the same level. If returned with less fuel, the shortfall is billed at the prevailing pump price plus a NPR 500 refuelling fee. If returned with more fuel, no credit is given.
8. Insurance & liability
- All vehicles carry third-party insurance as mandated by Nepali law.
- Comprehensive (own-damage) cover is available as an add-on. Without it, the renter is liable for repair costs up to the vehicle's market value in the event of an accident or theft.
- The renter must report any accident or theft to Zoom Car Nepal and the local police within 24 hours.
9. Geographic limits
Vehicles may be driven anywhere within Nepal. Cross-border use (India, China/Tibet) is not permitted without prior written approval and supplementary insurance.
10. Late returns
Late returns are billed at a pro-rated hourly rate based on the daily rental, with a maximum of one full additional day per 24-hour late period. Notify us in advance so we can extend your booking and avoid the penalty.
11. Account & data
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
- We process personal data per our Privacy Policy.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Nepali law, Zoom Car Nepal Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including lost profits, missed connections, or non-refundable travel expenses) arising from a rental. Our maximum aggregate liability for any booking is limited to the booking's confirmed total.
13. Disputes & governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any dispute arising from or relating to a booking will first be attempted to be resolved amicably. Unresolved disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Kathmandu.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL. Material changes will be flagged on the home page for at least 14 days before they take effect.
